[Orchestral Costume]
The costume worn by Kangen players is called miruiro hitatare, a hitatare and hakama made of what is commonly called iridescent seigo fabric woven with brown and green silk threads, with three chrysanthemum stitching on the back of the hitatare. The headwear is a "momitate eboshi" hat made of seigo gauze covered in black lacquer and edged with white cloth at the bottom, and the footwear is usually a shallow "uhigutsu" (black leather clogs) made of cowhide coated with black lacquer.
[Bugaku Costume]
A general term for costumes used in Bugaku dance and music handed down from foreign countries, such as Togaku and Komagaku. There are four types: Kasane costumes (also known as To costumes or Tsune costumes), Ban'e costumes, Betsu costumes, and Warabe (children's costumes). Each is divided into Sahou (Togaku type) and Uhou (Komagaku type), with the Sahou costumes mainly in red colors and the Uhou costumes in blue and green colors.

［管絃の装束］
　管絃の奏者が着用する装束は，海松色直垂（みるいろひたたれ）といわれるもので，茶と緑の絹糸で織られた俗にいう玉虫色の精好（せいごう）地で仕立てられた直垂と袴で，直垂の背には菊綴（きくとじ）が3個ある。頭装は，精好紗に黒漆をかけ下部を白布で縁どりした〈揉立烏帽子（もみたてえぼし）〉で，履物はふつう牛革を黒漆で塗り固めた浅い形の〈烏皮沓（うひぐつ∥くりかわくつ）〉を用いる。
［舞楽装束］
　唐楽（とうがく），高麗楽（こまがく）等，外国から伝承した舞楽に用いる装束の総称で，襲（かさね）装束(別名唐（とう）装束，常（つね）装束とも)，蛮絵（ばんえ）装束，別装束，童（わらべ∥わらわ）装束の4種があり，それぞれに左方（さほう）(唐楽系)，右方（うほう）(高麗楽系)の別があって，左方はおもに赤系統の色，右方は青･緑系統の色のものが多い。…
