Yoshitsugu Ujiie

…In the mid-16th century, Kozomaru (Yoshinobu), the son of Date Tanemune, was adopted after Osaki Takakane. In 1588 and 1589 (Tensho 16 and 17), the clan was attacked by Date Masamune with the help of the secret tactics of Ujiie Yoshitsugu, and lost most of its independence thereafter. In 1590, the clan did not participate in the Odawara Campaign, and its territories were confiscated, leading to its downfall. …
