〘Noun〙 One of the objects used in Noh theatre. A wooden platform about the size of a tatami mat and 6-7 sun (approximately 20 centimeters) high. It is covered with a red or other colored drapery called a daikake. It has many uses, symbolizing the mountains in "Arashiyama", the bridge in "Sekibashi", and the throne in "Kanyo-gu". 〘名〙 能楽での作物(つくりもの)の一つ。畳一畳ほどの大きさで、高さ六~七寸(約二〇センチメートル)の木造の台。その上を台掛けと称する赤色などの掛け布でおおう。その用途は多く、「嵐山」では山、「石橋」では橋、「咸陽宮」では玉座を、それぞれ象徴する。
