Japanese: 請負契約 - うけおいけいやく

A contract in which the person who receives a request (contractor) promises to complete a certain job and the client pays a fee for that job is called a "contract for work."
Contracts to actually complete something, such as building construction or civil engineering work, are common, but contracts for work also include requests to complete a lawsuit, such as with a lawyer.
The client only needs to pay the fee when he or she receives the completed work, and if there is a defect, the client can request repairs or compensation for damages. Also, the client can cancel the contract at any time up until the work is completed by compensating the contractor for damages.
It is distinguished from "delegation", which is a request to process administrative tasks, and "employment", which is a request to perform labor, and its purpose is "completion of work."

依頼を受けた者(請負人)がある仕事を完成することを約束し、その注文者がその仕事に対して報酬を支払う契約を「請負契約」といいます。
建物の建築工事や土木工事などのように、実際、物として完成させる契約が一般的ですが、弁護士のように訴訟をやり遂げる「依頼」などのような場合も請負契約となります。
注文者は完成した目的物の引渡しを受けるのと同時に報酬を払えばよいことになっており、これに瑕疵があれば修補や損害賠償の請求ができます。また、注文者は仕事が完成するまでならいつでも請負人の損害を賠償して契約を解除することができます。
事務処理を依頼する「委任」、労務を依頼する「雇用」とは区別され、「仕事の完成」が目的とされています。
