Invisible College

During this time, he also came into contact with new science and studied the works of Galileo. He returned to England in 1644 and soon became acquainted with a group of scientists in London called the Invisible College, and developed an interest in natural science. In 1654, he moved from his manor in Dorsetshire to Oxford, where he joined a group of scientists from Gresham College and devoted himself to scientific activities.
