Shojiro Kineya (Shojiro Kineya)
Nagauta shamisen performer. There have been six generations to date, but the third is the most famous. (1) First (?-1803 (Kyowa 3)) He was discovered playing the shamisen by Matsui Gensui, a top-spinner from Okuyama, Asakusa. He was a disciple of Kineya Rokusaburo II. He composed pieces such as Oniji Hiyoshimai and Tokusakari. (2) Second (?-1820 (Bunsei 3)) He is said to be either the son or a disciple of the first. His previous name was Hikojiro. In 1805 (Bunka 2) he took the name Shojiro. He composed pieces such as Shitadashi Sanbaso, Inugami, and Shiokumi.

長唄三味線方。現在まで6世を数えるが,3世が著名。(1)初世(?‐1803(享和3)) もと浅草奥山の独楽回し松井源水の三味線を弾いていたのを見いだされたという。2世杵屋六三郎の門弟。《鬼次拍子舞(おにじひようしまい)》《木賊刈(とくさかり)》などを作曲。(2)2世(?‐1820(文政3)) 初世の実子とも門弟ともいわれる。前名彦次郎。1805年(文化2)正次郎を襲名。《舌出三番叟(しただしさんばそう)》《犬神(いぬがみ)》《汐汲(しおくみ)》などを作曲した。
