…His disciple He Zhen (?-1604) surpassed his teacher in sword technique with blue power, established stone seal carving, and was called the founder of the Hui school. The Hui school produced more than a dozen families, including Liang Pu, Su Xuan, Zhu Jian, Jiang Haochen, Cheng Pu, and Wang Guan. Around this time, seal carvers who were knowledgeable in seal studies and specialized in seal carving appeared, rather than treating it as a side job for literati. Many of them were concentrated in Anhui and Zhejiang provinces, and their works were compiled into the Seal Collection. In the Qing dynasty, the study of historical evidence began, and the number of ancient seals, seals, and other written materials unearthed increased, leading to the publication of a series of publications on them, and seal carving art entered a new stage. …
