Ako Yanagi - Ryuashi

Chinese poet. His given name was Yigao, later changed to Qishi, his pen name was Anru, and Yazi was his pen name. He was born in Wujiang, Jiangsu Province. He studied at the Shanghai Patriotic Society in 1903, and joined the Tonglion Society and the Guangfu Society in 1906. In 1909, he formed the revolutionary literary society Nanshe with Chen Qubing and others. After the Xinhai Revolution, he served as a member of the Kuomintang Central Inspection Committee, and after the April 12th Coup in 1927, he fled to Japan, returning to China the following year to engage in anti-Chiang Kai-shek activities. During the Second Sino-Japanese War, he was involved in the anti-Japanese democratic movement with Soong Ching-ling and others, and after the war, he served as a member of the Central Executive Committee of the Democratic League in Hong Kong. After the founding of the People's Republic in 1949, he served in various positions, including as a member of the Central People's Government and a member of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, before dying of illness in Beijing. He was a close friend of Su Manshu, and edited the five-volume "Complete Works of Su Manshu" (1928) and other works. His works are collected in "Selections of the Nanshe Conglomerate" (1927) and "Selections of the Poems of Liu Yazi" (1928), and Guo Moruo described his style of poetry, overflowing with emotion, as "a modern-day Qu Yuan." In post-revolutionary China, "Selections of the Poems and Lyrics of Liu Yazi" (1959) and "Selections of the Poems of Liu Yazi" (1981) were published.

中国の詩人。名は慰高(いこう)、のちに棄疾(きしつ)と改名、字(あざな)は安如、亜子は号。江蘇(こうそ)省呉江(ごこう)の人。1903年上海(シャンハイ)愛国学社に学び、06年同盟会、光復会に加入。09年陳去病らと革命的文学結社南社を組織した。辛亥(しんがい)革命後は、国民党中央監察委員などを歴任、27年、四・一二クーデター後は日本に亡命し、翌年帰国して反蒋介石(しょうかいせき)の活動をした。日中戦争中は宋慶齢(そうけいれい)らと抗日民主運動に従事し、戦後は香港(ホンコン)で民主同盟中央執行委員などを務めた。49年人民共和国成立後は、中央人民政府委員、全国人民代表大会常務委員会委員などを歴任し、北京(ペキン)で病没した。蘇曼殊(そまんじゅ)との親交が厚く、『蘇曼殊全集』全5巻（1928）などを編集している。彼の作品は『南社叢(そう)選』（1927）、『乗桴集』（1928）などに収められ、その慷慨(こうがい)にあふれる詩風を郭沫若(かくまつじゃく)は「現代の屈原」と評している。革命後の中国では『柳亜子詩詞選』（1959）、『柳亜子詩選』（1981）が出版された。
