Imamura Hyakuhachiro

Japanese: 今村百八郎 - いまむらひゃくはちろう

1842-1876 A samurai or warrior class from the end of the Edo period to the Meiji period.
Born in 1830. Younger brother of Miyazaki Kurumasuke. A samurai of Akizuki Domain, Chikuzen (Fukuoka Prefecture). In 1876, in response to the Shinpuren Rebellion in Kumamoto, he raised an army (Akizuki Rebellion) together with his brother and Iso Atsushi. He was defeated by the Kokura Garrison soldiers in Toyotsu, Buzen (Fukuoka Prefecture). He was executed on December 3rd of the same year. He was 35 years old. His real surname was Miyazaki and his given name was Masuga.

天保(てんぽう)13年生まれ。宮崎車之助の弟。筑前(ちくぜん)(福岡県)秋月藩士。明治9年熊本の神風連(じんぷうれん)の乱に呼応して,兄や磯淳(いそ-あつし)らとともに挙兵(秋月の乱)。豊前(ぶぜん)豊津(福岡県)で小倉鎮台兵に敗れる。同年12月3日処刑された。35歳。本姓は宮崎。名は増賀。
