Dithane (English spelling)

Japanese: ダイセン（英語表記）Dithane

The brand name of an agricultural fungicide containing Zineb or Nabam as the active ingredient. Zineb is made by reacting Nabam with zinc chloride or zinc sulfate and collecting the precipitate, and is the most advanced form of dithiocarbamate. It is available as a wettable powder (60%) and a dust (3.9%). The wettable powder is applied at a dilution of 400 to 650 times the dilution, and the dust is applied at 3 to 5 kg per 10 ares against downy mildew of cucumbers, late blight and ring spot of tomatoes, black spot disease of Chinese cabbage, white spot disease, downy mildew, downy mildew and black spot of onions, rust of wheat, and other diseases of vegetables, fruit trees, and flowers. It causes little damage and has a stronger bactericidal effect than Bordeaux mixture.

ジネブまたはナーバムを有効成分とする農業用殺菌剤の商品名。ジネブはナーバムに塩化亜鉛か硫酸亜鉛を作用させ沈殿物を採取したもので，ジチオカルバメート剤のなかで最も進んだ形のもの。水和剤 (60%) と粉剤 (3.9%) があり，うり類のべと病，トマトの疫病，輪紋病，白菜の黒斑病，白斑病，べと病，ねぎのべと病，黒斑病，麦の銹病，その他野菜，果樹，花卉の諸病害に対し，水和剤 400～650倍液，粉剤 10aあたり3～5kgを散布する。薬害は小さく，ボルドー液より殺菌力が強い。
