Born: October 18, 1850 El Ferrol del Caudillo
[Died] December 9, 1925. Madrid. Spanish politician. In 1879, he contributed to the establishment of the Spanish Socialist Group, and in 1882, after the collapse of the Republic, he led the first strike in Spain. In 1986, he founded "El Socialista", which became the organ of the Spanish labor movement, and became its editor-in-chief. In 1910, he was elected to the lower house of parliament, and played an active role as a leading member of the parliamentary Socialist party.
