The forced mobilization of students to the industrial sector during the Pacific War. A 1938 Ministry of Education notice had already required students to perform labor service for three to five days during long vacations, but in June 1943 the Tojo Cabinet ordered the strengthening of military training at each school, and in January 1944 labor mobilization became mandatory for four consecutive months of the year, and in March it was decided that it would be implemented year-round. 太平洋戦争中に強行された学生・生徒の産業部門への動員。1938年の文部省通牒(つうちょう)により，すでに学生・生徒は長期休業中に３〜５日勤労奉仕することを義務づけられていたが，1943年６月東条内閣は各学校の軍事教練強化を命じ，1944年１月勤労動員は年間４ヵ月を継続して行うことが義務づけられ，３月には通年実施と決定。４月からは中等学校３年以上はほとんど動員され学校教育は事実上停止となった。→国民徴用令
