...Founder of the Rinpa school. His seals include "Ito", "Taisei", and "Taiseiken". He was from the upper class of Kyoto townspeople and is believed to have been a member of the Hasuike family, a weaver famous for its Chinese textiles, or its branch, the Kitagawa family.
