Ishige Rihee

...It is a song to celebrate a big catch, and is widely distributed along the coasts of Japan. The most famous is "Tairyo-bushi" from Choshi, Chiba Prefecture. In 1864 (Genji 1), a year of bumper catches of sardines, three fishermen, Ajiro Kyusaburo, Matsumoto Kyoko, and Ishimori Rihei, wrote ten verses in counting song form to commemorate the big catch, and the music was composed by Yucho, a master of Tokiwazu. The first verse is "One by one, stacked one by one, pushing into the river mouth, Oya-goe, Eko no Tairyo-bune," and the closing accompaniment is sometimes sung as "Ah, what a big catch."...

…大漁の祝歌（いわいうた）で日本の沿岸各地に広く分布する。最も有名なのは千葉県銚子の《大漁節》で，イワシの豊漁でわいた1864年(元治1)，大漁を記念して網元の網代久三郎，松本旭江，石毛利兵衛の3人が数え歌形式の歌詞を10番作り，常磐津の師匠の遊蝶が作曲した。一番の歌は〈一ツトセー，一番ずつに積みたてて，川口押し込む，大矢声，エーコノ大漁船〉で，終りの囃しことばを〈ああ大漁だね〉と歌うこともある。…
