Misongni‐yujŏk (English name)

Japanese: 美松里遺跡 - びしょうりいせき（英語表記）Misongni‐yujŏk

This limestone cave site is located on the left bank of the lower Yalu River in Misong-ri, Uiju-gun, North Pyongan-do, Democratic People's Republic of Korea. It was discovered in 1954 and excavated in 1959. The bottom of the cave's southern entrance is currently located about 16m above the stream flowing on the south side. The entrance ceiling is about 2m high and has a depth of about 15m. There are two layers, an upper and a lower, containing artifacts, which were deposited mainly near the entrance of the cave. The upper layer consists of black humus soil, and a number of artifacts and bones dating to the Plain Pottery (Bronze Age) period have been excavated from it.

朝鮮民主主義人民共和国，平安北道義州郡美松里の鴨緑江下流域の左岸地帯にある石灰岩の洞窟遺跡。1954年に発見され，59年に発掘調査された。洞窟は，現在，南側を流れる小川から高さ約16mの所に南側入口の底面がある。入口の天井の高さは約2m，奥行きが15mほどの規模である。主として洞窟内の入口付近に堆積した遺物包含層としては，上･下の2層がある。上層は，黒色腐植土からなり，無文土器(青銅器)時代に属する遺物と遺骨が少なからず出土した。
