The name of a library built by Mao Jin (1599-1659) in Changshu County, Jiangsu Province, China, in the late Ming Dynasty. Blessed with wealth, Mao Jin made an effort to collect books widely, and the number of books stored in Kikokaku reached 84,000. The contents ranged from the Classics, History, Zi, and Ji, and the collection of Song editions in particular was said to be the best of its time. Many of the books in the collection, such as the Thirteen Classics Commentaries, the Seventeen Histories, and the Secret Book of the Jintai, have been reprinted and are widely circulated as Kikokaku versions. These include the Catalogue of the Secret Treasured Books of Kikokaku compiled by Zhu Jirong from the Qing Dynasty, and the Catalogue of the Revised Books of Kikokaku and Supplementary Catalogue of the Books of Kikokaku compiled by Zheng Demao.
