Masako Ikeda

Masako Ikeda
1645-1700 A daimyo in the early Edo period.
Born on July 10, 1662. The second son of Ikeda Mitsumasa, the lord of Okayama Domain in Bizen. He was granted 25,000 koku of new land by his elder brother, Ikeda Tsunamasa, the lord of Okayama Domain, and in 1669 he became the first head of the Ikeda family to rule the Okayama Shinden Domain in Bitchu (Kamogata). He died on August 19, 1670. He was 56 years old. His name is also known as "Masatsugu."

正保(しょうほ)2年7月10日生まれ。備前岡山藩主池田光政の次男。兄の岡山藩主池田綱政より新田2万5000石を分与され,寛文12年備中(びっちゅう)岡山新田(鴨方(かもがた))藩主池田家初代となる。元禄(げんろく)13年8月19日死去。56歳。名は「まさつぐ」ともよむ。
