Sumihisa Ikeda
1894-1968 A military officer from the Taisho to early Showa eras.
Born December 15, 1894. Worked in the Military Affairs Bureau of the Army, and played a central role in establishing a system for national mobilization. In 1942, he became Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Kwantung Army, and in 1944, he became a lieutenant general. After the war, he served as a defense lawyer at the Tokyo Trials. He passed away on April 29, 1968. He was 73 years old. He was from Oita Prefecture. He graduated from the Army War College.

明治27年12月15日生まれ。陸軍で軍務局畑をあゆみ,国家総動員体制づくりなどに中心的役割をはたす。昭和17年関東軍総参謀副長,19年陸軍中将。戦後,東京裁判弁護人をつとめた。昭和43年4月29日死去。73歳。大分県出身。陸軍大学校卒。
