Squid Kingdom

...A general term for the cultures that existed from about 1000 BC to 1532 AD, mainly in Peru on the South American continent, spanning the period from the middle Formative period of Andean prehistoric times to the end of the Postclassic period. Humans are said to have begun to live in the Andes about 20,000 years ago. The period from then until 4000 BC is called the Stone Age. About 10,000 years ago, the inhabitants of the Andes adapted to the new environment of the postglacial period by hunting deer and camelids (such as llamas) and collecting wild plants, and settled in the highlands and mountain valleys.
