1809‐73 (Bunka 6‐Meiji 6) He was a Shogunate councilor and lord of Miyazu Domain in Tango during the late Edo period. He was the adopted son of Muneharu. He succeeded to the title in 1840 (Tenpo 11) and was called Hoki no Kami. He worked to restore the government of the domain, and in 1858 (Ansei 5) he was appointed Magistrate of Temples and Shrines. He also interrogated the patriots who had been captured during the Ansei Purge as one of the five crimes. In 1862 (Bunkyu 2) when those involved in the Purge began to be denounced, he was relieved of his position as Shoshidai and demoted from Tamama to Ganma. However, he was appointed Councilor in 1864 (Genji 1) and was involved in the first Choshu Expedition, and was on the front lines as Councilor in the second Choshu Expedition in 1866 (Keio 2). 1809‐73(文化6‐明治6) 幕末期の幕府老中,丹後宮津藩主。宗発の養嗣。1840年(天保11)襲封し,伯耆守と称する。藩政立直しに努め,58年(安政5)寺社奉行に就任。あわせて五手掛として,安政の大獄で捕らえられた志士を審問する。大獄当事者が糾弾されるようになった62年(文久2),所司代を免ぜられ溜間詰から雁間詰に下げられた。しかし64年(元治1)には老中に就任し,第1次長州征伐にかかわり,66年(慶応2)の第2次長州征伐では老中として第一線にあった。 出典 株式会社平凡社世界大百科事典 第2版について 情報 |
