Anminsei

...Korean independence activist and politician. His pen name was Minsei. He was born in Gyeonggi Province. He graduated from Waseda University in 1914. In 1924, he became editor-in-chief of the Chosun Ilbo newspaper, and published many enlightening editorials until he left the newspaper in 1932. In 1927, he participated in the formation of the Shinkankai. After liberation, he became vice-chairman of the Korean Founding Preparation Committee, but with the rise of communists, he left and formed the Korean National Party himself. In 1947, he became the Chief Civil Administrator of the transitional government. During the Korean War, he moved to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and died in Pyongyang.
