Angara shield

Japanese: アンガラ楯状地 - アンガラたてじょうち（英語表記）Angara shield

A stable continental region since the Paleozoic era, estimated from the distribution of Precambrian rocks in East Asia. It spans northern China, Mongolia, the Korean peninsula, Siberia, and Irkutsk. The Angara Shield is covered by a wide area of Paleozoic Permian strata, including the Angara flora, and there was a time when it faced off against the Gondwana continent, including the Gondwana flora, across the Tethys Ocean.
