Disseminated deposit - Kousenkosho (English spelling)

Disseminated deposit - Kousenkosho (English spelling)

Among deposits that are not in harmony with the strata of the surrounding strata or the banded structure of the rocks, deposits that have no regularity such as plate-like (vein-like) or cylindrical shapes, and show an overall irregular shape, with ore minerals forming fine aggregates and scattered. Among normal magmatic deposits, those in which the amount of ore minerals is only that of accessory minerals correspond to this type, such as diamond deposits and some nickel-copper deposits. In hydrothermal deposits, ore fluids permeate small cracks or pores in the rock, and ore minerals precipitate in the pores or are formed by replacing some of the rock-forming minerals. Porphyry copper deposits are a typical example of disseminated deposits, and other examples include porphyry-type molybdenum deposits and porphyry-type tin deposits. Disseminated ores may also be found in massive deposits, the periphery of vein deposits, and in some network deposits. Disseminated deposits generally have low ore grades and therefore need to be large in size to be economically viable.
