"Thank you Edo Kagekiyo" - Thank you for the blessing

...He was self-taught, but had a talent for art and excelled at sketching signs. During this period, he produced works such as Arigataya Megumi no Kagekiyo (1850) for Danjūrō ​​and Jiraiya Gōketsu Tanwa (1852), an adaptation of a gokan (collection) by Yanagishita Tanekazu. The second period lasted for over ten years from 1854 (Ansei 1) to 1866 (Keio 2), during which he teamed up with Ichikawa Kodanji IV, a masterful actor representing the end of the Edo period, and demonstrated his talent in live-acting kyogen, especially in Shiranami-mono, establishing his position as a performer.
