…After World War II, they attracted attention for their youth theater movement, but in 1949, they en masse joined the Communist Party and advocated the improvement and creation of national culture. This led to them being temporarily barred from commercial theaters, but after the peace treaty, they tried to be active again with plays such as Chojuro's "Narukami," Gan'emon's "Shunkan," Kawarazaki Kunitaro V's "Kirare Otomi," Arashi Yoshisaburo V's "Terakoya," and Segawa Kikunojo's "Abe Ichizoku." In September 1967, Chojuro was expelled due to ideological differences, but in December 1979, they held a 50th anniversary performance at the Kabukiza Theater, and in October 1982, they opened the Zenshinza Theater on the theater company's premises in Kichijoji, Tokyo. …
