?-753 (Tenpyo Shoho 5) An aristocrat in the mid-Nara period. Grandson of Oumi and son of Himo. Descendant of the ancient, powerful Kose clan. In 731 (Tenpyo 3), he was appointed Junior Fifth Rank. He served as Chief of the Bureau of Buddhist Statue Construction, Minister of Civil Affairs, Earl of Shinto Shrines, and Dainagon and Chunagon. In 739 (Tenpyo 11), he joined the court government as a councilor. He served as Minister of Palace Construction in Kunikyo, and was the caretaker during the Imperial visit to Shigaraki Palace. He left behind a poem for the Niiname-sai banquet in Volume 19 of the Manyoshu. At the time of his death, he was ranked Junior Second Rank.
