...A marine fish of the family Mishimastomidae in the order Perciformes (illustration). It is called Amamubo, Saganbo, Shaganbo in various parts of Toyama, Mishima Anglerfish in Shimonoseki, and Mushima in Kochi. Its body is long and cylindrical with very small scales, and it has one dorsal fin made up of only soft rays. Its back and sides are blue-green with small brown spots, as its name suggests.
