ERL - Erlang

An international unit of traffic (use of communication lines and facilities). It represents the volume of traffic (the amount of a unit line occupied per unit time). It can also be expressed as the product of the average number of uses per unit time and the average occupancy time. It is named after Agner K. トラフィック（通信回線や設備の利用）に関する国際単位の一。呼量（単位時間あたりの単位回線の占有量）を表す。単位時間あたりの平均使用回数と平均占有時間の積でも表される。名称は、通信トラフィック工学の創始で知られるデンマークの数学者アーラン（Agner K.Erlang）にちなむ。ERLまたはerlとも表記する。
