After the fall of the Taira clan, Taira no Kagekiyo was exiled to Miyazaki in Hyuga Province and became a blind beggar. His daughter Hitomaru comes from Kamakura to visit him. [3] Name of the Kowaka piece. Akushichibei Kagekiyo tried to kill Minamoto no Yoritomo but failed. He was imprisoned, but broke out and returned. Fearing the danger of his father -in-law, he returned. He was then beheaded at Rokujo-gawara, but he gave up on the idea of revenge, gouged out both his eyes and went to the west, and when he went to Shimizu, both his eyes were restored. He eventually moved to Hyuga Miyazaki Manor and lived a long life. It had a great influence on later Joruri and Kabuki. [4] One of the 18 major Kabuki plays. It was first performed by Ichikawa Danjūrō II in 1739 under the title "Kikushige Sakae Kagekiyo." It is a type of rough play. [5] Kabuki Shosakuto. Nagauta and Tokiwazu. Kagekiyo, dressed in a haori coat, narrates the story of Yashima's war, likening it to a tale from the red-light district. [1][一] 平景清(たいらのかげきよ)。[二] 謡曲。四番目物。各流。作者不詳。平家滅亡後、日向国宮崎に流されて盲目の乞食同様になった平景清を尋ねて、娘の人丸(ひとまる)が鎌倉から訪れる。[三] 幸若曲名。悪七兵衛景清は源頼朝を討とうとして果たさず、牢につながれるが破って出、舅(しゅうと)の難を恐れて再び戻る。そして六条河原で切られることになるが、報復の念を絶ち、両眼をえぐって西国に行くことになり、清水に参ると、両眼が元通りになる。やがて、日向宮崎荘に移って、長命を保った。のちの浄瑠璃、歌舞伎に大きく影響した。[四] 歌舞伎十八番の一つ。「菊重栄景清」として、元文四年（一七三九）二世市川団十郎が初演。荒事の一つ。[五] 歌舞伎所作事。長唄・常磐津。通称「五条坂の景清」。三世桜田治助作詞。十世杵屋六左衛門・岸沢式佐作曲。天保一〇年（一八三九）江戸中村座初演。四世中村歌右衛門と岩井粂三郎の八景の所作事「花翫暦色所八景(はなごよみいろのしょわけ)」の一つ。景清が五条坂の阿古屋のところへ通うさまを舞踊化する。[六] 歌舞伎所作事。常磐津。俗称「へちまの景清」。二世桜田治助作詞。岸沢古式部作曲。文化一〇年（一八一三）江戸森田座初演。七世市川団十郎の八景の所作事「閏茲姿八景(またここにすがたはっけい)」の一つ。羽織姿の景清が、八島の軍話を廓話になぞらえて物語る。[2] 〘名〙① ((一)(一)が「悪七兵衛」といわれるところから) 通人をよそおって悪事をはたらく人。また、悪事、悪だくみ。江戸時代、安永・天明（一七七二‐八九）頃の語。※洒落本・後編風俗通（1775）金錦先生進学解「若(もし)大通向へ廻って狂言を書、景清(カケキヨ)を働くに及ては則大騒動也」② 魚「あかまつかさ（赤松笠）」の異名。③ 魚「いっとうだい（一等鯛）」の異名。④ 魚「ぐそくだい（具足鯛）」の異名。⑤ 魚「きんときだい（金時鯛）」の異名。⑥ 魚「ちかめきんとき（近眼金時）」の異名。
