...A greenhouse species. (6) Primula auricula L. (English name auricula, bear's-ear) is native to Europe and grows wild on limestone ground. The cultivated species is said to be a hybrid with Primula hirsuta All. It has fleshy, inverted egg-shaped leaves and blooms 3-4 cm in diameter in a scattered pattern on a 10-20 cm tall flower stalk.
