...The banded mongoose, Mungos mungo , is known to have the habit of breaking eggs by throwing them at rocks. It is well known that mongooses kill poisonous snakes, and the fights between the Indian mongoose ( Herpestes edwardsi ) and the Indian cobra and the viper are particularly popular. It has been said that this mongoose is immune to snake venom, but this is not the case at all; it is simply moving quickly and skillfully avoiding the venom.
