There are also rake saws, front saws, overhanging saws, and double-headed saws used for hand sawing. (5) Most hand saws and machine saws are made of 5-6 types of carbon tool steel (hard enough to be filed), but recently many circular saws and the like have blades made of super-hard alloys (tungsten carbide), which are called chip saws.
