うえ‐びと うへ‥【上人】

〘名〙 (「うえひと」とも) 昇殿を許された人。四位、五位の人および六位の蔵人(くろうど)。うえの男(おのこ)。殿上人。※宇津保(970‐999頃)国譲下「大殿、うへ人などしてわたり給ひぬ」
