Guo Songling

A Republic of China soldier. His courtesy name was Mao Chen. He was from Shenyang County, Fengtian Province (now Liaoning Province). He graduated from the Beijing Military University. In 1916, he became a subordinate of Fengtian warlord Zhang Zuolin. In 1925, he was deployed to Tianjin as deputy commander of the Third Front Army under Zhang Xueliang. Influenced by the National Revolution, he made an agreement with Feng Yuxiang in November to start a rebellion against Zhang Zuolin and advance towards Fengtian. However, he was defeated due to interference from Japan, which viewed the victory of Guo's army as a threat to its interests in Manchuria and Mongolia, and he was arrested and shot to death on December 25th.

中華民国の軍人。字(あざな)は茂辰。奉天省（現遼寧(りょうねい／リヤオニン)省）瀋陽(しんよう／シェンヤン)県の人。北京(ペキン)陸軍大学卒業。1916年奉天軍閥張作霖(ちょうさくりん／チャンツオリン)の部下となった。1925年張学良指揮の第三方面軍副軍長として天津(てんしん／ティエンチン)に出動。国民革命の影響を受け、11月馮玉祥(ふうぎょくしょう／フォンユイシヤン)と協定して張作霖に対する反乱を起こし、奉天に向けて進撃した。しかし、郭軍が勝利することを満蒙(まんもう)権益への脅威とみなした日本の干渉により敗北し、12月25日逮捕、銃殺された。
