Daqing - Taikei

A prefecture-level city in the southwest of Heilongjiang Province, China. Formerly known as Anda. Located in the midwest of the Songnen Plain, it borders Jilin Province to the south. It governs five city districts, three counties, and one autonomous county (as of 2017). Population 2,815,500 (2011). In 1959, one of China's largest oil fields (Daqing Oil Field) was discovered, and the city developed into an oil industrial city by sending in large numbers of workers in a human wave tactic. The slogan "Learn about industry from Daqing" during the Great Leap Forward is famous. Excessive mining caused a sharp decline in crude oil production around 2000, and in 2002, large-scale demonstrations by unemployed workers occurred. The city is connected by the Binzhou Line, the Tongliao Line (Tongliao-Daqing), and the Haqi Dedicated Passenger Line (Harbin-Qiqihar), which opened in 2015, as well as the Suifenhe-Manzhouli Expressway and the Daqing-Guangzhou Expressway. In 2009, Daqing-Salt Airport opened about 20 kilometers north of the city center.

There is a memorial hall for Wang Jinxi (1923-1970), a famous oilfield worker and contributor to the development of the Daqing oil fields. The Longfeng Wetlands in the eastern part of the city are designated as a nature reserve.

中国、黒竜江(こくりゅうこう)省南西部の地級市。旧称は安達(あんだつ)。松嫩(しょうどん)平原の中西部に位置し、南部は吉林(きつりん)省と接する。5市轄区、3県、1自治県を管轄する（2017年時点）。人口281万5500（2011）。1959年中国屈指の大油田（大慶油田）が発見され、労働者を大量投入する人海戦術的な方式で、石油工業都市として発展した。大躍進期の「工業は大慶に学べ」というスローガンは有名。過度な採掘により、2000年前後から原油生産が激減し、2002年には失業労働者による大規模なデモが発生した。浜洲(ひんしゅう)線、通譲線（通遼(つうりょう)―大慶）、2015年開通の哈斉(はせい)旅客専用線（ハルビン―チチハル）などが通じ、綏満高速道路（綏芬河(すいふんが)―満洲里(まんしゅうり)）、大広高速道路（大慶―広州(こうしゅう)）も通る。2009年には、市中心部の北約20キロメートルに大慶サルト空港が開港した。

　大慶油田開発の功労者、油田労働者として著名な王進喜(おうしんき)（1923―1970）の記念館がある。市東部の竜鳳(りゅうほう)湿地は自然保護区に指定されている。
