Agochi - Agochi

A town in Undeok County, North Hamgyong Province, the northernmost part of North Korea. It is a lignite producing area with reserves of 154 million tons. A coal liquefaction industry is running using lignite from the Tertiary layer produced in Gyeongseong, Onsong, Gyeongwon, and Agoji in North Hamgyong Province. A coal vocational school is located in Agoji.

北朝鮮最北端、咸鏡北道(かんきょうほくどう／ハムギョンプクド)恩徳郡にある邑(ゆう)（町）。褐炭の産地で埋蔵量1億5400万トン。咸鏡北道の鏡城、穏城、慶源、阿吾地で産出する第三紀層の褐炭を使った石炭液化工業が行われている。阿吾地には石炭専門学校がある。
