〘Noun〙 A type of single-story gate for a mansion. In the Heian period, this gate was made by layering thick planks on the roof and then covering it with soil. 〘名〙 邸宅の単層門の一種。平安時代、屋上を平らに厚板をふき重ねた上に土をあげておおった門。後世は、土の代わりに檜皮(ひわだ)などを用いたものもある。垜門(あずちもん)。あげつちかど。
