Founder of the Qajar dynasty. In 1758, after his father's assassination, he became the chief of the Qajar tribe, whose power was in the southeastern Caspian Sea. However, he was soon taken hostage by the Zand dynasty and imprisoned at the palace in Shiraz. In 79, after the death of Karim Khan of the Zand dynasty, he fled back to his hometown, organized a war against the Zand dynasty, and founded the Qajar dynasty. He was assassinated in 97. He was an accomplished politician and soldier, but was said to have been castrated as a child, which made him suspicious and cruel.

カージャール朝の創始者。1758年，父の暗殺によりカスピ海南東部に勢力を張るカージャール族の族長となる。しかし，まもなくザンド朝に人質として取られ，シーラーズの宮廷で幽閉生活を送る。79年，ザンド朝のカリーム･ハーンの死によって故郷に逃げ帰り，反ザンド朝戦争を組織し，カージャール朝を興した。97年，暗殺される。政治家，軍人としては優れていたが，幼時に去勢されたため性格は猜疑心が強く，残虐であったといわれる。
