…Around 1697 (Genroku 10), at the same time as Akamatsu Bairyu of Naniwa, Akamatsu Seiryuken established a lecture hall in Sakaimachi, Edo, covered with bamboo mats, and lectured on military affairs under the name of Hara Masamoto. He read the Taiheiki and achieved great fame. He is well known as a lecturer in Edo, along with Nawa Seizaemon (Akamatsu Seizaemon), but he was originally a local samurai from Miki, Banshu, and his real name was Akamatsu Yusuke. Although his biography is unknown, there is no doubt that he was a member of the Akamatsu clan.
