A character from "The Tale of the Heike." He is said to be an ancestor of Ogata Koreyoshi. He was from Bungo (Oita Prefecture). It is said that his mother, a farmer's daughter, had an affair with a giant snake and gave birth to him. He had large calluses on his hands and feet in both summer and winter and was very strong.
