Aiolia, a floating island surrounded by a bronze wall, was also home to a wind god named Aiolos, who welcomed Odysseus, who stopped by the island during his voyage, and gave him a skin bag filled with all the winds except the fair winds. However, while Odysseus was sleeping, his servants opened the bag, thinking it contained wine, and a violent storm blew up, blowing the ship back to Aiolia. …
