Rosseter (1568-1623), T. Tomkins (1572-1656), and J. Bull (c. 1562-1628) and P. Philips (1561-1628), who emigrated to the continent. At the same time, the popularity of Shakespeare's plays led to a rise in dramatic music, and a pageant-like art form called masque, which focused on music and dance, became popular, and Campion and the Lawes brothers (H. Lawes (1596-1662), W. Lawes (1602-45)) were active in the field.
