Veit

...Storks are messengers that carry them. For this reason, women who are unable to have children pray to Saint Veit (Latin name Vitus, feast day June 15th) by offering an iron frog (some say it represents the uterus). There are many stories in Grimm's fairy tales about princes who are transformed into frogs.
