The increasing international exchange inevitably led to the formation of an international organization, and in 1900 the Union of International Cyclists (UCI) was founded in Paris, with members from France, the United States, Belgium, Italy, Switzerland, and other countries. It is now a worldwide organization with more than 169 member countries. …
