...The "Seigen Anshitsu" that has been performed in recent years in Kabuki is based on "Keisei Nyuso Sakura" written by Kanazawa Ryugyoku in 1835 (Tenpo 6), and is usually performed with the addition of Gidayu. Another similar piece is "Sougen Anshitsu" based on the puppet theater "Kikuchi Otomo Konrei Sode Kagami" (written by Chikamatsu Hanji, 1765).
