A Mongolian nation located in the northeastern part of the Asian continent. From 1924 to 1990, it was called the Mongolian People's Republic. Because "Mongolia" can also include Inner Mongolia of the People's Republic of China as a geographical or ethnic name, in Japan, the country's name is sometimes written as "Mongolia" to distinguish it.
