When shooting outdoors, the color temperature can make the image appear bluish or reddish, such as in the morning, evening, or in the shade. Tungsten light also appears reddish. This filter corrects these differences and converts the color to what you see. It is also called an LB (Light Balancing) filter. There are glass filters with circular frames and acetate or gelatin sheet types, and many different types are available with different degrees of color temperature correction.
