The original meaning of trim is to be in a well-balanced state, but in 1967 the Norwegian Sports Federation started a movement called Trim-aksjon to promote sports for the health of the people and to enrich their free time activities. According to the definition of Hüge Moe of the Federation, “Trim is a sport or recreational activity that fills the body with vitality, fun and happiness, and is undertaken by individuals or groups.”
