…the Mariinskaya Waterway is an inland waterway in the northern part of the European part of Russia that connects the upper Volga River to the Baltic Sea. Formerly known as the Mariinskaya Waterway, it runs north from the northern end of Lake Rybinsk on the upper Volga River to the Baltic Sea via the Sheksna River, Lake Beroye, the Kobzha River, the Mariinsky Canal, the Vychegda River, Lake Onega, Lake Ladoga, and the Neva River.
