[Death with Dignity]
While the purpose of euthanasia is to free the sick from pain, death with dignity or natural death aims to allow the sick to maintain their human dignity. This is the act of stopping the continuation of futile life-prolonging measures for sick people with no hope of recovery and allowing them to die naturally, and is a similar concept to the aforementioned euthanasia by omission in that no active medical treatment to prolong life is provided.
